草苺奶昔/Strawberry Kiwi and Mango Smoothie

I make smoothies for my daughter in the morning sometimes and she loves it.  She calls it ice cream.  I put the yogurt in the ice trays in the freezer, and take it out when I make smoothies.  It makes the drink even more chilled.  I think that's why my daughter thinks it's ice cream.  This smoothie combines different types and colours of fruits that gives you a lot of vitamins that you need for a busy day.  It's also a great drink for toddlers.  I added 1 tsp of honey because my daughter has been coughing and honey soothes her throat.

Ingredients:
(Makes for 2 servings)

  • 5 Strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup mango (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 kiwi fruit
  • 1 banana
  • half cup orange juice
  • 4 oz yogurt (use whole milk yogurt if you make it for babies)
  • 4 oz milk (use whole milk if you make it for babies)
  • 1 tbsp mint (optional - not recommended for babies)
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)

Directions:

Add all ingredients into a blender.  Blend on high speed for 30 seconds until mixture is creamy.  Pour into a glass and enjoy.
